An introduction to our Senior Pastor - Dr. Dan Kroeze
Pastor Dan Kroeze (pronounced Krew-zee) has been preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ at Newhall Community Church for the past nine years. He is also a full-time member of the Kuyper College faculty, in Grand Rapids, where he helps train and prepare Biblical students for their emergence into the Christian world.
Pastor Dan emphasizes that Newhall is a Christ-centered church that believes Jesus Christ is the means to our Salvation and who wants us to seek His love often and freely through prayer, devotion, and the love of our families, friends, and the communities in which we live.
Newhall is a friendly, caring congregation, welcoming visitors and new members to the church of any race, nationality, age, or social status as long as they have love in their hearts, joy on their lips, and a thirst for the words of our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, in their souls.
We seek the Lord through our love of Him, and we receive the blessings of the Lord through His love of us.
Wednesday Night Bible Study
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
A deep, revealing, detailed but very understandable look into Biblical history, led by Pastor Dan Kroeze, with opportunities for fellowship, discussion, and prayer. Using his own PowerPoint presentations, occasionally supplemented with biographical, historical, or geographical material, the Senior Pastor explains both the Old and New Testament books with the conviction of a Pastor combined with the clarity of a college Professor. It is an incredible opportunity to enrich your knowledge of the Bible.
Once a month potlucks or soup suppers before "Connections" make a wonderful night of friendship, sharing, and spiritual guidance for those who take advantage of it.
The older folks at Newhall have formed a group which meets monthly for planned events. They call themselves "Keen-agers" because they still have enough pep and enthusiasm to go places and do things together.
They have gone to Whitecaps baseball games on buses, seen local stage plays at discounted rates, ridden the Grand Lady water wheel ferry which cruises the Grand River, sponsored movie nights at the church, have enjoyed progressive dinners where parts of meals are staged at different homes, have gone to concerts, and have even offered some game nights as a change of pace from food, singing, and baseball.
This group of active seniors welcomes any couples, or singles, who want to join them, and makes it a point to have plenty of good, clean, safe, and entertaining fun!
